| C4 YLO started life as a standard left hand drive Carerra 4 on 7th June 1989 in Bruchsal, near Karlsruhe, Germany with the registration KA-KP70. With a good basic specification including air conditioning, heated drivers seat, electrically adjustable driver and passenger seats, sunroof, rear wiper, Design 90 alloy wheels, black leather interior and Grand Prix White paintwork. Maintenance was quite regular with the supplying dealer, Konrad of Bruchsal, through to 1994. Re-registered in Bremen as HB-UP57 with a change of owner in 1995 and as MI-PT116 in Minden registered to Schwarzkopf GmbH only 8 months later in February 1996. A speedometer change was documented in 1996 at 154,000 kms. |

Imported into the UK in 1997 and registered in 1998 with the index mark F 518 RVL by the importing owner in Worksop, the car went through 3 owners in Essex and wore the index IIA 5 for 4 years. Maintenance records are quite scrappy during this time although bills are on hand for a new clutch and flywheel, silencer and various other bits. In April 2003 the car was acquired by Trenance Garage in St. Austell, Cornwall and it started the long road to it's present appearance. The first major work was to fit the turbo wheel arches. As can be seen from the pictures, the arches are steel and are welded both inside and out. |

The wheel arches are an exact replica of the factory wide body fitted as standard to the turbo powered cars and require that the front and rear bumper also match the wider profile. That's the next job.
